PhD competition results

PhD competition results for admission to the 34th cycle are now available under the page of each PhD programme. Please check the PhD programme specific page in which you applied for.  

If successful, please kindly check the deadline within you should communicate your acceptance. If you do not communicate your acceptance within the advertised deadline, you will loose your rights on both position and scholarship.

 

Positions are offered starting from the candidate who obtained the highest results in the examinations. Candidates are admitted to PhD programmes until all available positions (with or without scholarship) are covered.

  • Admitted with scholarship (Italian: “vincitore con borsa”): your application was successful and you have been awarded a scholarship. You can now enrol.
  • Admitted without scholarship (Italian: “vincitore senza borsa”): your application was successful however you have not been awarded a scholarship. You can now enrol.
  • Qualified (Italian: “idoneo”): this means that, even though you have obtained a sufficient score and you fulfil all requirements for admission to the PhD programme, all positions have been assigned. Should a candidate decline the offer of a position, qualified candidates will be contacted by email based on their position in the merit-ranking list.
  • Not admitted (Italian: “non ammesso”): your application was unsuccessful.

 

 

If you want to decline the offer of a position, you must let us know of your decision by writing to dottorati@unito.it within the advertised deadline.

If a candidate declines the offer of a position, “qualified” candidates will be contacted by email based on their position in the merit ranking.

Enrolment procedure for applicants holding international qualification

Step 1: Accept and confirm your position

Within the advertised deadline you will find on the final merit-ranking list, you will need to confirm your acceptance online through the same online procedure used for submitting the applications (Art. 9 and art. 10 – Call for admission to PhD positions).

Step 2: Sending the documentation

After online confirmation, within 15 days from the publication of final merit-ranking list, successful applicants holding international qualifications must send by email to PhD Office dottorati@unito.it the following documentation:       

  1. Enrolment form (form A)
  2. Bank account details (form B)
  3. Declaration about job activities (form C)
  4. a photocopy of identity document/passport;
  5. a photocopy of Italian Tax Code (Codice Fiscale);
  6. declaration of recognition of eligibility for successful applicants who have not applied for the process of recognition by the Examination Board when entering the competition (as per art.3);
  7. original or certified copies of Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree;
  8. original or certified copies of Bachelor’s and Master’s transcripts;
  9. original or certified copies of the “Dichiarazione di valore in loco” or Diploma Supplement (as per art. 3, point 3).
  10. payment receipt of tuition fees for enrolment to PhD Programmes as set out in the University Regulation of Taxes and Contribution. For payment please use the specific form provided by the on-line enrolment procedure.

 

In order to complete the enrolment, please note that original documents, together with a passport-sized photograph, have to be provided to the PhD Office upon arrival in Italy. We kindly invite successful candidates to contact the PhD office (dottorati@unito.it) and set a meeting to complete the enrolment.

 

Starting from 1st October 2018, if you have not been registered before, you will have to register to the INPS gestione separata.  

Enrolment procedure for applicants holding Italian qualification

After online confirmation, within 15 days from the publication of final merit ranking list, successful applicants holding an Italian qualification must provide the PhD Office (Direzione Ricerca e Terza Missione – Via Bogino 9) with the following documentation:

   

  1. Enrolment form (form A)
  2. Bank account details (form B)
  3. Declaration about job activities (form C)
  4. a passport-sized photograph signed on the back
  5. a photocopy of identity document/passport;
  6. a photocopy of Italian Tax Code (Codice Fiscale);
  7. payment receipt of tuition fees for enrolment to PhD Programmes as set out in the University Regulation of Taxes and Contribution. For payment please use the specific form provided by the on-line enrolment procedure.

                      

If the above mentioned documentation is sent via postal service, please remember that the stamp and the date of the accepting post office will prevail. If the documentation is sent via postal service, candidates have to anticipate it by email to dottorati@unito.it within the deadlines set by the call for PhD admission.
