Organising your studies
All information about the scheduling, content, language of instruction, credits, online registration and teaching method of each course is available on individual Departments and Degree Programs’ webpages.
The course catalogue and timetable are generally updated starting from July each year, so bear in mind that courses listed may be subject to change and may no longer run for the next academic year.
General courses calendar
mid-September/mid-December
This is the indicative period for the start of the academic year. Exact dates may vary depending on the degree programme. We therefore recommend consulting the website of the specific programme for detailed and up-to-date information.
mid-February/end of May

Fill in your Study Plan (Piano Carriera)
The Study Plan (Piano Carriera) is the mandatory online procedure (through MyUniTO services) you must complete to take exams at UniTo and register your grades. You will need to include all the courses listed in your Learning Agreement –Study Plan or for which you wish to get recognition at your home university.
The Piano Carriera is generally opens for submission and changes from October to June each year and can be filled in after your arrival and before the start of the exam session.
The Study Plan (Piano Carriera) procedure is different from registration to courses on campusnet/moodle which may be optional. Read the course webpage carefully for further instructions.
Exams
To take an exam it is mandatory to register to a specific round of evaluation (Appello).
Students can schedule their own exam timetable within the timeframe provided by each department. Take note of this timeframe to enroll for exams in time. Check deadlines on your MyUniTo.
You can take exams only within the confirmed exchange period. If you want to take exams beyond the agreed period, you need to ask for an extension.
- first semester: January – February
- second semester: June – July; September.
Transcript of Records
The final transcript of records includes the timeframe of your exchange period, results of your exams and an explanation about credit transfer. Your transcript will be issued once all the results of the exams you took are registered on your online career plan. This document is sent by email only to the relevant office at your home university.
To receive your Transcript of Records you must register the end of your exchange by filling in the end of mobility form.
The "Autocertificazione esami per studenti in arrivo" is not a Transcript of records.
