Second edition of the International Congress on Strigolactones

Argument:
From Monday 27 March 2017 at 8:15am, to Friday 31 March 2017 at 1:00pm

The second edition of the International Congress on Strigolactones (ICS2017) will take place from 27th to 31st March 2017 at Cavallerizza Reale (via Verdi 9, Torino).

The Congress is organized by the University of Turin, which chairs and coordinates COST Action FA1206 “Stream”, a scientific network entirely focused on the studying of the biological roles and the applications of Strigolactones. For more details about this project:

Strigolactones are newly discovered phytohormones that contribute to defining plant morphology, also in response to environmental conditions, and to the dialogue with organisms in the rhizosphere. Because of their both endogenous and exogenous role as signaling molecules, Strigolactones are well-placed to mediate both adaptive changes in the plant architecture and beneficial rhizosphere interactions. In the last years, Strigolactones have become a cutting-edge topic in plant biology and agronomy, and have great potential in modern agriculture.

This will be a great occasion to renew the interdisciplinary, collaborative atmosphere in the Strigolactone scientific community as well as to set up an inspirational and mind-opening meeting for young scientists.
